Heel Security System: Improves security and support to the heel cup, closing the back of the shoe more securely around the riders ankle. Prevents annoying heel lift without over-tightening the rest of the shoe, so the HSS improves comfort, too. 6.6 Carbon Sole: The 6.6 Carbon sole is 100% carbon fiber with no glass fiber filler like competitors soles. (Nor is there a nylon last covered with a carbon weave to give the illusion of a carbon sole.) Sidi 100% carbon soles are designed with variable thickness to adjust stiffness as needed: thinner in the toe for comfort, thicker through forefoot for power transmission.
